1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, installing, or using StudyDeck ("the Application"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately.
2. License Grant
StudyDeck grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run the Application on supported mobile hardware for personal, educational, and academic study purposes.
You may not modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or commercialize modified packages of the application without prior written consent.
3. User-Generated Study Content & Intellectual Property
StudyDeck is a self-directed flashcard creation and quiz system:
- You Own Your Decks: You retain complete ownership and intellectual property rights over all flashcards, questions, notes, and study decks you create in StudyDeck.
- Third-Party Content & Copyright: You are solely responsible for ensuring that study materials or textbook passages you transcribe do not violate third-party copyright laws.
4. Academic & Exam Outcome Disclaimer
StudyDeck provides memorization and spaced repetition scheduling utilities:
- No Score Guarantees: StudyDeck is a study aid. We do not guarantee exam results, course passing grades, or standardized test scores (e.g. SAT, ACT, AP, MCAT, LSAT, Bar Exam, USMLE).
- Content Verification: You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of formulas, dates, definitions, and academic concepts in your decks.
5. Local Data Storage & User Responsibility
All flashcard decks and quiz histories reside locally on your device. We maintain no cloud servers or remote backups. You are solely responsible for exporting and backing up your flashcards. We bear no liability for data loss due to device malfunctions or app uninstallation.
6. App Intellectual Property
The application codebase, spaced repetition algorithms, user interface components, and logos are the proprietary intellectual property of StudyDeck developers and protected under international copyright treaties.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties ("AS IS")
StudyDeck is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for educational purposes, or uninterrupted operation.
8. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall StudyDeck or its developers be liable for academic failure, missed study schedules, or indirect damages resulting from use of the Application.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Application signifies your acceptance of any revisions.
